Mid-Level Digital Media Analyst

kglobal, a Washington, D.C.-based strategic communications firm specializing in public affairs, public relations, marketing, branding, and crisis management, is looking for a Mid-Level Digital Media Analyst to join our media assessment team at a high-profile defense agency. This Hawaii-based position will provide assessments and social media monitoring on behalf of a defense client located at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam (JBPHH). Candidates must have an active secret clearance and be able to work on site at JBPHH in Oahu, Hawaii.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

This Mid-Level Digital Media Analyst will perform continuous in-depth assessment and analysis of enterprise digital media efforts and provide recommendations based on findings to better reach key audiences, mitigate risks, and meet strategic goals. Candidate must have the ability to assess mis-/dis-/mal-information and recommend tactics to counter such narratives. Other duties include:

  • Monitor client-managed digital media presences (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.) daily (approx. 25 different spaces)

  • Develop social media content aligned with customer’s strategic efforts

  • Maintain a digital engagement calendar and make content recommendations

  • Develop a digital/ social media training for the enterprise

  • Conduct demonstrations and deliver trainings on use of social media assessment tools

  • Develop and continuously revise digital media training content and assessment processes

  • Develop weekly unclassified assessments of quantitative data

  • Compare previous weekly assessments with current trends and analyze content to draw connections between specific events and outcomes

  • Develop monthly qualitative assessments of enterprise social media efforts

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred but not required

  • Minimum 5 years assessing, analyzing, and reporting on digital and social media effects and efforts

  • Minimum 3 years creating digital content and digital marketing strategies

  • Secret Clearance

  • Experience working in a Maritime and/or joint headquarters environment

  • Comprehensive knowledge of leading social media assessment tools

  • Basic skills in Adobe InDesign and Illustrator, minimal video editing

  • Familiarity and experience with DoD public affairs regulations and procedures preferred, but not required

  • Completed coursework from the Defense Information School (DINFOS) or other intelligence curriculums preferred but not required
