Carter Dunkin has built a strong pattern of achievement over 30 years of helping leading corporations and other organizations communicate effectively with key stakeholders. Reflecting his expertise in both corporate and financial communications, his experience includes financial communications, strategy and program development; investor research and targeting; executive presentations; annual reports; crisis management; and media relations. As a senior vice president at Advantage Capital, a specialized venture capital firm with raises private funds to invest in economically distressed communities using federal and state tax credits, Carter maintained relationships with policymakers, business associates and the news media to ensure recognition of these investment programs’ value to their communities. Carter’s career includes 14 years at Fleishman-Hillard, where he was a senior vice president and partner and managed worldwide support for two of the firm’s largest clients.
Before joining k-global, Carter was a public relations consultant and community volunteer. His community, non-profit and professional affiliations have included the Gateway Center for Giving, Better Business Bureau, United Way of Greater St. Louis, Missouri Venture Forum, National Investor Relations Institute and National Association of Investors. In addition, he served three years as national sponsorship chairman for the Porsche Club of America, an independent, non-profit organization with more than 75,000 members in the United States and Canada. He also has been active in entrepreneurial education and mentoring through the Missouri Venture Forum and the Center for the Acceleration of African-American Business. He earned a bachelor's degree in journalism and a master's degree in business from the University of Missouri in Columbia; he began his career at the Chicago Tribune and Dallas Morning News.
