Randy DeCleene

Randy has over 15 years experience in media, communications, public relations, writing, law and issues management, bringing to the table a wide variety of skills including political, policy, national security and media expertise.

In addition to serving as Vice President Dick Cheney’s Deputy Press Secretary at the White House, Special Assistant to the Secretary of the Army at the Pentagon and as a Senior Advisor to the Commanding General of the Third Infantry Division in northern Iraq, Randy has counseled high-ranking elected officials, senior business executives, members of the White House staff, Pentagon leadership, as well as foreign government leaders.

Randy also ran the public affairs and media team in Ketchum’s Washington, D.C. office from July 2006 until May 2008. His focus was international, national, regional and local media and clients included Delta Air Lines, the Russian Federation, Louisiana Recovery Authority and Gazprom.

Randy has a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University, J.D. from the Valparaiso University School of Law and is currently working part-time on a Masters in Writing from Johns Hopkins University. He has written for the New York Daily News, Washington Times, Washington Examiner and Savannah Morning News, among other publications. He also speaks regularly on communications, politics and public affairs at Georgetown and American University.
