Carlos Carmonamedina

Carlos is a visual artist with a passion for print media and illustration. His principles for effective design are discretion, enjoyment, and functionality. Carlos has worked as a freelancer for clients from around the world, and boasts a range of experience that encompasses several disciplines, from branding to web design and cultural promotion.

Prior to joining kglobal, Carlos co-founded the NGO Periférne Centrá, which supports art and ecotourism in villages in Slovakia. Together with the Romanian gallery Visual Kontakt, he also curated a series of itinerant poster exhibitions that featured a global selection of emerging illustrators.

His ongoing project, "Postcards from Washington DC," features a new illustration of the city every week. Carlos has run this project for more than a year, during which it has been featured on several blogs and exhibitions.

Carlos did graduate studies in Mexican Literature at the University of Veracruz (Mexico) and holds an MFA in Visual Arts from the University of Arts and Design of Cluj-Napoca (Romania). Besides English, he is fluent in Spanish, French and Romanian.
