Claire Tonneson

Claire joined kglobal as an account associate in Washington, D.C., in the fall of 2011. This followed completion of a four-month internship at kglobal through The Fund for American Studies (TFAS).

Prior to joining kglobal, Claire was a communications intern for Governor John Kitzhaber (D-OR), where she developed a strategic social media campaign in conjunction with her honors thesis on the relationship between social media and politics. As an undergraduate student, Claire served as the president of the University of Oregon Chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) and received the Jack Ewan Award that recognizes both achievement and potential of an outstanding graduating member. The award was presented by the Greater Oregon Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).

Claire graduated from the Robert D. Clark Honors College at the University of Oregon, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in journalism with an emphasis in public relations. She also participated in TFAS’s Institute on Political Journalism at Georgetown University in the summer of 2011 and completed an intensive Spanish language program at El Instituto Tecnológico de Querétaro in Querétaro, México in the summer of 2010.
