Jim brings nearly two decades of experience in government relations and business expertise to kglobal, joining our Midwest (St. Louis) office. Prior to that he was the principal at James Gwinner & Associates, LLC, a political consulting and public affairs firm. His work translates to success as a consultant and government relations executive for the health care, insurance, pharmaceutical, energy, telecommunications and other industries.
Jim brings a political and issue advocacy background, well seasoned in field operations, to work for his clients needing assistance with allie development and activation, earned media, lobbying, business development or just plain hard-nosed campaign victories. Working with Fortune 500 companies, candidates and ballot issues, as well as industry and not-for-profit associations, he’s familiar with all aspects of a well-run campaign.
In the past, Jim has assisted corporations in developing new business markets throughout the Midwest. He’s also worked as a lobbyist for numerous business and professional organizations and his campaign work includes developing direct mail, paid advertising, and much more.
Jim is a graduate of the University of Missouri (Mizzou). An active alumnus, Jim serves as a national officer on the Mizzou Alumni Association’s Governing Board, currently as its president. Jim is a member of the Missouri State Chamber of Commerce, the Missouri National Guard Association and the Kirkwood Chamber of Commerce where he serves on the Public Policy Committee. Finally, Jim served in the U.S. Army reserves components where he served as an MP and led detachments both at home and abroad.
