Justin L. Wilson is an international public affairs consultant that specializes in media relations. He leads strategic communications campaigns for clients who seek to drive conversation and influence public opinion in specific geographical locations and across the globe.
Wilson develops and implements public affairs and issues management campaigns for foreign governments, private sector organizations and leading national and international nonprofits. He maintains relationships with global policy reporters and broadcast producers to cultivate thought leadership platforms and develop editorial opportunities on behalf of his clients.
Throughout 2015, Wilson served as a U.S.-based senior communications consultant and media liaison on behalf of two NATO-allied foreign governments. His role included complete day-to-day project management on external communications and diplomatic event support within a wide-variety of initiatives concerning international security, the global migrant crisis, bilateral relations and cultural exchange.
From 2011 - 2015, Wilson was a consultant at the Washington, D.C.-based PR firm LEVICK. At LEVICK, Wilson developed comprehensive communications programs and served as point-of-contact for highly sensitive crisis and litigation management issues in a variety of industry sectors, including corporate governance, defense contracting, healthcare, financial communications, cyber-security and life sciences.
He currently volunteers as a global communications adviser for The Citizens Foundation, one of the largest nonprofits in Pakistan in the field of education. Earlier in his career, Wilson worked as a journalist abroad in India with an English-language daily newspaper. He earned a B.A. in International Media from The American University in Washington, D.C., where he continues to serve as a School of Communications Mentor.
