Up to your ears in emails? Apparently you’re not alone. Recent data from Baydin, the makers of the email plugin Boomerang, found that their average user receives 147 emails every day and devotes more than 2 ½ hours on email. Yikes! However, the data also found that a whopping 80% of those emails are deleted within the first three seconds! Double yikes! So how can you ensure that your emails don’t instantly end up in your colleague’s trash? Baydin’s data suggests avoiding words like “confirm,” “join” or “invite” and instead load your subject-line with words like “apply” or “cancellation.”
So do these findings surprise you? Do you get more or less emails? Are you as quick with the delete button? Check out the rest of the data, wrapped up in this pretty infographic.
